On December 31, 2017, I found myself arriving at the end...literally the end of a long road, in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I made my husband stop the car, right in front of the barricade marking no more road. I was just steps away from where the road ended and the water began. As I looked across to the other side I could see land and life but there was no more road, to get there.
I thought to myself..how profound is this, on the last day of 2017. Then it occurred to me. A lot of us get to what seems to be the biggest obstacle in our life...or as we call it “The End.” We tend to either stay there in shock and awe or just turn around and accept what we left.
The truth is, I wasn't in the end but just the beginning of something new. It hit me like a ton of bricks. Although the road did in fact end, it didn't mean that my journey had to. Sometimes we have to change our mode/resources.
If we only stick to what we know and are comfortable with, then we will be bound and limited forever. We all have a choice. Starting today you can begin making decisions and steps that can change where you are a year from today.
The truth is...you get to choose. Despite your situation, you can choose to make different decisions and steps or you can continue to operate the way you have for days, months, even years of your past. Which do you choose? What new modes/resources do you need to step into?
Not sure how to move. Let's talk!
